OUR 14 STEP SELECTION AND TRAINING PROCESS

1. Job Postings and Advertisements

Through the use of recruitment sites and social media, available job openings are posted with specific job descriptions, requirements and qualifications.

2. Pre Screening of Applicants Resumes And CVs

As applications are received, our Human Resource Representative reviews and seeks out qualified candidates that may be a match for the job.

3. Telephone Pre-Screening Interview

Potential candidates are then contacted by telephone and a pre-screening interview is conducted by the HR Representative to further understand the candidates and their potential.

4. Applicant Assessment and In-person Interview

If the candidate passes the pre-screening telephone interview, he or she is then invited to attend a formal in-person interview with the Hiring Manager. The applicants, qualifications, skills, work history and experience are all evaluated at this time.

5. Background and Reference Check

During this stage, the candidate’s reference and background information provided during the interview are checked to verify the candidate’s employment history. The details are then submitted to the HR Department for further consideration.

6. Placement Assessment and Offer

Based on on-site requirements, the client’s expectations, preferences, and the candidate’s qualifications and skills, the hiring manager determines the best suitable placement.

7. Orientation Part 1: Reviewing and Signing of Employment Agreement

Once an offer is made and accepted by the candidate, he or she is then invited to the head office to commence Orientations and Training. A candidate undergoes a final interview before reviewing and signing of their employment agreement.

8. Orientation Part 2: Ministry of Labour Mandatory Requirements

Candidates participate in a 6-8 hour training session that includes but is not limited to the Ministry of Labour; Worker Health and Safety Awareness.

9. Security Training Part 1 – Head Office

Upon completion of orientation, candidates commence a full-day training course that enhances their skills in Effective Customer Service, Client Relations, Communication, Emergency Responses, Behavioural Etiquettes, and Eclipse Security Services Inc. Policies and Procedures.

10. Training Part 2 – Head Office

Following the security training Part 1, candidates are then further trained in security protocols such as Crime Prevention, Fire threat responses, Bomb threats, Medical emergencies, Risk management in a hostile environment, report writing and incident reports, local law enforcement expectations, and requirements, etc.

11. Site Dedicated Training

On-site paid training by Eclipse’s Senior Security Supervisor then takes effect to further ensure the client’s needs and expectations are met and guards are fully capable of taking responsibility of their post by following their Site Orders.

12. Mobile Supervision 

Newly placed guard are visited and supervised daily at no cost to the client ensuring effective security coverage and smooth shift transitions.

13. Client Follow Up

Eclipse Security Services Inc. prides its self on superior customer service offered to its clients and thus all guards’ placements are pending approval of the client’s satisfaction.

14. 24 Hours Monitoring Center Supervision

Eclipse’s 24-hour dispatching and monitoring center are accessible by telephone to all of its employees. Guards are encouraged to seek assistance at any time regardless of the issues or concerns they might be experiencing, therefore: TRAINING NEVER ENDS.
